Welcome to Scotts Mills Friends Church

Feb 16 Jim Le Shana, General Superintendent of Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends will bring a message from Joshua 1:1 – 9 “Moving Forward with Faith”.

If it’s been awhile since you’ve attended we encourage you to come, not only to meet Jim and his wife, Jannine, and hear his message, but to take time out of your busy schedules to slow down and rest while worshipping God in music, prayer and silence.

Hope to see you tomorrow!

Long for community of fiber people? Get together and chat while spinning, knitting or crochet. Bring whatever handwork project you’ve been trying to finish, start a new one, or knit hats and scarves for the Friends hat drive which will go to the Scotts Mills Community Center for people in need.

*These days with many people having a hard time coping life, despair and depression, as well as addictions and mental illnesses we pray for God’s intervention and healing.

Drop by and pray for five minutes or an hour, as your schedule allows. This will not be a formal meeting. People can come, pray silently or out loud – as the Holy Spirit leads – for our friends, neighbors, community and the world..
Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7-8

If you’re not able to physically come to the church early Tuesday mornings we encourage you to dedicate  a portion of that time to pray along with us wherever you might be.

Jesus is the one who calms the storms of the troubled soul.
Jesus is the one who is able to keep us in perfect peace.
We will never know – at least here on earth – how many times our intercessory prayers may have stopped a tragedy from happening.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
…open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me.
Acts 26:18
God will keep the mind that is dependent on Him in perfect peace for it is trusting in Him. Isaiah 26:3

Mission Statement: Ephesians 4:15 Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Scotts Mills Friends Vision:
-That we will be new creations of the Lord Jesus Christ, living for God by the power of the Holy Spirit.
– God is the only solution to our problems. Jesus came so we could have Life, real life. Eternal life that starts now and overflows with joy, peace, and love — love for God, love for our families, love for our community and world — because we are His dearly beloved.

Scotts Mills Friends teaches Jesus and His Word in a world full of hurts, despair, loneliness and fear. We look to the Bible for guidance and depend on the Holy Spirit who loves to transform lives, who instructs, guides and comforts us, bringing the peace that only comes through relationship with God made possible through the redemption of His Son, Jesus Christ.
